We stayed from the 12th to 16th August we have stayed quiet a few times before we always have a lovely stay bit this time was made special with it been my 60th birtday which sharon and doug made it lovely for me got up in the morning to find gifts waiting for me which was a lovely surprise...the room was lovely and clean and so was the hotel itself sharon and doug are really lovely and very welcoming the cooked breakfast is really lovely with everything you need 😊

Smart little hotel really close to the Winter Gardens. Rooms are small, but have most of everything you need. Would be improved with addition of bedside cabinets, and shower shelf,I particularly found bending down for shower gel very difficult

The Carlton is a lovely home from home hotel within walking distance of the attractions. Sharon and Douglas are so very welcoming from the off set, offering to help with carrying luggage and checking things are going OK whilst taking time to chat to our 5 year old theoughout our stay and taking an interest in his excitedness about being on holiday. The hotel is fresh andclean and has a lovely calm feel. We stayed for 4 nights and will definitely look to stay again sometime. Thank you!

We stay here every year when we visit the Rebellion Festival and we can't fault this beautiful hotel.The room is delightful, the whole hotel is so clean and the breakfasts are truly excellent.Lovely hosts too who always make us feel so very welcome.The location is fabulous too.We will definitely be returning!!

I have stayed at the Carlton for 10 years, every August for the Rebellion Festival. Very centrally located. Bedrooms roomy and have all facilities you’d need. Sharon is such a welcoming host, very friendly. Great breakfast. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommended.

We arrived & the greeting from the hosts made us instantly feel welcome & comfortable, quick & easy check in, we travelled with our 14 month old & was able to leave our pram safely in the reception area. The room was clean & the beds were extremely comfortable. The amenities were a great touch. The hotel was minutes away from the Blackpool tower & winter gardens with a large and safe car park. We added on breakfast & it was wonderful and the quality of ingredients were very good with a lot of choice, the host was again extremely accommodating and even offered extra food for our baby, all in all, a fabulous and comfortable weekend. First time staying here but can I say I was very impressed.Upon arrival we were met by the owner who was really welcoming and friendly but an awful comedian lol. Our room was excellent.It was in immaculate condition and my wife was very impressed by the decor. We never needed to call on the owners for anything during our stay but they were always available.We will definitely be staying here on future visits.

We booked The Carlton online and what a great choice we made. The hotel is in a great location just a stones throw away from the town and promenade. It was brilliant value for money and our room was perfect with all the little finishing touches making it feel luxurious, very thought out.A text from Sharon and Douglas before we arrived was a lovely gesture and also we were able to sign in sooner than we expected.Would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.

Don’t stay here if you like to complain!! You won’t find anything to complain about, it’s spotless,welcoming , and the breakfast is as good as any you would get in a big hotel and a third of the price.

This was our second stay at the hotel, our room was great this year and breakfast good as usual.However both evenings we were woken several times by very noisy guests. Saturday evening in particular we were kept up most of the night by we believe the room next to us who seemed to be young teenagers laughing shouting and banging, this went on until around 5am and the three of us were woken up half a dozen times at least. Really disappointing and so we didn't wake up as refreshed each morning as we should have.Thanks

Travelling to Blackpool received text saying room is ready, from the moment we arrived, Sharon was a very warm, friendly & helpful host. Room was spotlessly clean,all amenities were catered for. Beds very comfortable & the bedding also. Location brilliant for winter gardens, tower, shopping centre, will most definitely be booking to stay again, and would highly recommend the Carlton.

My daughter and I stayed for the weekend to attend a dance competition at Winter Gardens. It was perfectly located for here, the shopping centre and all the attractions. The hosts were really friendly and helpful and the accommodation was basic but clean and well kept. We would stay again.

This was our first visit to Blackpool and booked the Carlton Hotel, based on previous guests reviews. 😀When we arrived the landlady Sharon was so friendly. Our room was lovely, comfy bed, tea and coffee facilities and bathroom with bath and shower. Decorated beautifully in a silver grey design.We would definitely stay here again on our next visit. We stayed room only so did not have the breakfast.

We arrived at 6.30 Friday evening and the door was opened by Sharon with the warmest greeting from her by my name and all.Sharon was so so friendly and welcoming. Our room was spotless could not fault at all. And the breakfast was delicious we were for a dancin compition in the winter gardens. The hotel is literally around the corner from the winter gardens.From arrival to departure it was 5 star. The room was clean and comfy.Breakfast delicious very central.Would defo return and would defo highly recommend

We stayed for 3 nights to celebrate our 1 year anniversary,the place was absolutely lovely. Sharon was so understanding when our coach got delayed, so friendly. Our room was absolutely perfect, everything you would need like tea and coffee, hairdryer etc; I was absolutely surprised when I walked in and saw gifts for us and a card.The breakfasts in the morning were absolute perfection, so much variety. The location was so slap bang in the middle of Blackpool, making it easy to get to attractions. Definitely would stay again!

We stayed here for 5 nights Wednesday to Monday, a family of four, and as soon as we walked in, we wer welcomed in with a big smile and the place was spotless, checked in with Doug,and off we went to our room,the room was big with a 2 single beds and big double bed, and room was just as nice or if not better than and fancy hotels around the country. Over the next few days, we had everything done for us,nothing was a problem for them to do for us, beds are very comfy, and a good night's sleep every night was had. Ideal place to stay with kids. Very quiet at night time as there is no bar onside,2mins walk to the main street and 1min walk to the seafront, ideal location and very easy to find. Overall we had a fantastic stay and we will be back next year again to stay again. Sharon and doug have the place spotless and know how go look after the guests and take pride in their townhouse.

Sharon and Doug looked after us like a home from home. They always have a warm welcome for us and will go the extra mile. My son was going out running whilst breakfast was served they plated up a breakfast sandwich for when he got back. Fab as always.

Not been to Blackpool for many years and just wanted a place to rest our heads for one night, well we stumbled over this little gem, the host Sharon made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, very clean and the rooms were more than acceptable, beds realy comfy and plenty of tea coffee and milk in the rooms. Dougs breakfast was lovely, excellent value for money and great location. Loved it would certainly come back if ever in Blackpool again.

I would 100 percent recommend staying at this hotel, the owners are so kind and the rooms including the lounge and dining area are so clean and beautiful. They are child friendly, every morning we went down for breakfast they had a highchair waiting for us at table. The breakfast was amazing and filled us up for the day. Me an my Son stayed at the Carlton for the first time for 2 nights we often go to Blackpool and I must say this is the best place we have stayed in from start to finish our visit was made so easy rooms was immaculate so clean an comfy we will definitely be returning here on any future visits and would highly recommend to anyone else visiting. Ideal location too just up the road behind coral island so close to all amenities. Was greeted on arrival everything was explained to us.

Myself and my husband stayed at the Carlton Hotel on Saturday 4th March, we were greeted with a warm welcome at the door by Sharon, we booked in and went about our stay. The hotel is a home from home, up to date and modern, extremely clean and well equipped as well as literally being on the doorstep of Blackpool tower and the amenities. I was amazed to see the room had lots of little touches such as soap, sanitary products and an extensive tea and coffee facility too (in the bedroom). we 'opted in' for the breakfast for the Sunday whilst booking in not expecting much fuss to be made over it however when we went for breakfast it was a pleasant surprise that there was a great little menu of cooked food, lighter bites, toast and preserve, cereal etc to choose from... plenty of tea coffee and juice too! Nothing is too much trouble for the owners, in fact, they were really chatty and enthusiastic.will we book again?.... yes definitely!Thank you for having us!

My family and I stayed for 4 nights at The Carlton. Our room was very comfortable, clean and modern looking. We were provided a cot for our daughter which came with sheets, a pillow and duvet. We usually have to bring our own duvet when we stay at other places, so that was a lovely surprise. Sharon and Doug were great hosts and the breakfast was brilliant. Will definitely be back to stay again!

The stay was perfect from when we first stepped in. Sharon and Doug were amazing, chatty and polite. The room was very clean and smelt lovely. And the beds were very comfy. The daily breakfasts was beautiful with great service and lots of choice. Would definitely recommend.

I couldn’t of chose a better place to stay, great hosts, lovely atmosphere and possibly the cleanest and quietest place I’ve ever stayed in, breakfast not bad either, highly recommend this place.

We received a warm welcome from Sharon our host. It was clean and comfortable, we had everything we needed (access to iron/board), tea/coffee facilities, shower gel/soap and a few extras. We had the English breakfast which was freshly cooked and included in the price. The guest house was near the beach, Tower, Ballroom, Winter Gardens, the piers, shops, bars. Sharon and Doug were both friendly, helpful and informative. It was good value and we would definitely stay again.

This hotel is a little gem! Very well priced, great location and Sharon and Doug are fantastic, such nice genuine people! Straight from the off it was a real personal touch, not just another number. The decor in the rooms, reception area etc is beautiful! The breakfast was absolutely perfect too! If I’m ever back in Blackpool I won’t even need to look at hotels! We went to Blackpool for the last bank holiday. The location is close to most attractions. The room and toilet were clean. Bedding is almost new. The host were friendly and great. Would love to go back in future Blackpool visits.

The room was lovely,very comfortable bed, clean, modern and lovely touches with tea/coffee, hairdryer, toiletries and even some female hygiene products included in case of 'emergencies'.The hotel itself is just in the right location,a few minutes walk from the shopping centre, the tower, the beach and the Winter Gardens.There is a nice and bright and very comfortable lounge area to sit in also.The host was very friendly and helpful, loved my chat with her while I was waiting for a lift in the morning :)I'm already considering booking up for next year! Highly recommended.

We booked a small double room with breakfast for two nights. I got a text message early in the day to say our room was ready if we wanted to check in early, which was great. Both Sharon and Douglas were really friendly and welcoming from the start, and gave us all the information we’d need for our stay.The room was lovely and clean, a little snug, but not a problem really. Breakfast was gorgeous, and a really good selection, far more than we’d expected.What I liked the most was how friendly both hosts were. Referring to us by our names, and remembering little details about us, such as what our plans were etc. With it being so busy, I wouldn’t have expected them to remember quite so much detail, so it was a pleasant surprise. Lots of families there, and it was run very efficiently.The location was great for all of the main attractions, and we’d definitely stay there again.

First of all, the room is very small and a little damp Secondly, the shower head in the bathroom fell down and directly hit the head, which is really dangerous The most important thing is that in the two days of residence, I only saw reception when I arrived When we left, we still couldn't find reception. We made six calls and no one answered. We waited 30 minutes for someone to come, and most importantly, we couldn't store our luggage, which seriously affected our travel It's really a very unpleasant experience. I don't recommend you to live here.

We were made to feel extremely welcome at The Carlton by Sharon. We stayed in the family room which suited our needs. The Carlton is within easy walking distance to the shops, and tower. The breakfast was beautiful and you could easily choose each morning. The water bottles in the fridge is a nice touch and were handy to have. My only comment to note is that there wasn't a fridge in the room as stated but this wasn't an issue. We would be more than happy to stay again.

We arrived for an overnight stay at the Carlton. We were greeted by Sharon who was so accommodating and friendly. The Carlton was very clean and beautifully decorated which made it homely. Rooms were spacious and suited our needs. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were cozy. Breakfast was absolutely beautiful, plenty of choice from juice to cereal to a lovely cooked breakfast and plenty of toast tea and coffee. 10 out of 10 , Sharon & Doug were perfect, the hotel is spotless and the room downstairs was great for the children to chill out and play games, it was very homely. perfect for our needs close to all amenities but quiet which was ideal. Having a McDonald's and Subway on the corner was a bonus for lunch and a good landmark for anyone like me that has a terrible memory of which road it was on. this is our new stop off at Blackpool.

Everything about the hotel was great.Our room was one of the smallest but it was clean and tidy, warm and perfect for sleeping in and getting ready to go out. Lovely owners, great breakfast too.Will happily stay here again.

Absolutely could not fault anything about the Carlton.From the hosts greeting you too leaving everything was perfect. We were in the family room which slept 2 adults 2 children room was clean lovely little touches as well. Would recommend the breakfast Sharon and Doug were happy too accommodate my fussy son making him a bacon toasted sandwich. No doubt we will definitely stay again

The bath was more like a foot bath couldn't have a nice relax. Pillows and bed were rock hard haven't slept all weekend and I would of told the hosts but was actually scared which shows the hosts aren't welcoming. Worst place I've stayed at to be honest. Kept the heating on all day and night even with the window open and radiator turned off in our room was too hot. Only do tea and coffee which is the first place ive stayed at to only offer that. Only good thing was breakfast and decent amount of hot water in shower. Feels the hosts were in it more for money than because they love it breakfast ended at 9:15 then he could get on with his day. I mean when you're on holiday who wants to be up that early

I was fairly pleased with the hotel in general room was nice clean a well presented however our stay was spoiled by noise from loud cars driving past every 5 mins along with shouting from outside but worse than that was the people above shouting tv on flat out making a din and constantly screaming oh yes yes yes do f××k me hardertill 3 am 🤣That being said this is not the fault of the hotel if you are here for the nightlife and like a nice tidy place id highly recommend this hotel

When your granddaughter would rather stay in the hotel than go around Blackpool to the arcades, shops, beach etc. that speaks volumes.It was spotless. We were shocked how big the room was and the beds were so comfy.The hosts were so friendly and welcoming.Ideal position and the breakfast was wonderful.To be honest I really didn't want to write this review to let everyone know about this gem because we can't wait to go back and we'll be gutted if its full.

Sharon and Douglas welcomed me in, after a very rainy day, I was met with warmth and sincerity and smiles!The Carlton had a warm, cosy, relaxed feel. One where you felt immediately at home.My room was cute, Immaculately clean and comfortable and perfect for my needs.I was going yo watch Hairspray musical, do perfect location (7 minute walk)to the Winter Gardens opera house.Fantastic breakfast. Arriving at this hotel, first impressions, met by Douglas (nice friendly) easy bloke to like. Enterance, lovely decor, very clean, room was a good size with en'suit, again lovely decor,spotlessly clean, everythig you need ie ironing board, iron, hair dryer. No complaints

What an amazing little stay this weekend has been, Perfect location just a very short walk to coral Island/the Tower and town, 5 mins. Parking available just Round the corner at Hounds Hill shopping centre, £12 per 24hrs. Lovely Warm welcome on Friday afternoon from Doug, the hotel is dressed for Christmas and looks fantastic. Up to our rooms which were again more than we could have asked for, I had a family room on the top floor, one double and 2 singles, all very comfy, cosy and clean. Nothing was too much trouble for Sharon & Doug. We ventured out into the storm on Friday night but could easily have chilled in the lounge for the night and watched the TV.Brekfast was another amazing part, I was blown away with the choices, having young children who don't really eat full English they loved the choices from the kids area. Brilliant way to start our day, the hotel is so clean with lovely decor, lovely and warm and like home from home we're already planning our next stay. Thank you so much to Sharon & Doug for a wonderful stay, Perfect hosts with a nothing too much trouble attitude. We know exactly where we will be staying, found a right little treasure. 5* xxxx

Great location, right near Coral Island and within walking distance to all the night life. Rooms very clean, (could do with somewhere to hang used/wet towels in the bathroom.) Breakfast was very nice, unlimited tea, coffee, juices, cereals and yoghurts, choice of cooked full English breakfast also, Lady owner is lovely and friendly and very chatty, hubby is a bit of a miserable grump, not sure if its his dry sense of humour or he is genuinely a grump lol, but can come across as quite abrupt/rude. I would defo recommend and stay again.

Stayed at The Carlton over night to see the Blackpool Illuminations. We were not disappointed. The room and en-suite were spotlessly clean, tasteful and big enough for 3. It's in a fabulous location which is really close to Coral Island but far enough away for the hustle and bustle not to effect you. We will definitely stay here again.

Truly perfect.It was our very first family holiday and after covid and a bumpy start to littl ones arrival this was us celebrating his first 2 birthdays in one and we couldn't have icked a loviler place. Sharon and Dougie were wonderful... Nothing was an issue for them and by the end it felt we'd know them for years not just 2 days! The hotel is beautifully clean, the breakfast was amazing (and I gt special gutwn free biscuits), the location was fab and just the customer service and experience as a whole was absolutely wonderful and just what we needed. I am a guest experience manager and I was thrilled with the service we received and we will definitely be back and spreading the word to family and friends. Thank you both!

First time for me to come to Blackpool and we stayed at The Carlton.We arrived being greeted by Sharon, who gave us the best of welcomes on arrival.She’s a lovely lady who we have engaged with throughout our stay.The bedroom we had was for a family of 4, two single beds and one double.A lovely clean immaculate room with plenty of space. En-suite with shower, Wc equipped with body wash and shampoo incase you forget yours.There were tea / coffee facilities there which were replenished if need be.Plenty of storage with wardrobe & drawers, as well as a TV.Beds were super comfy and bedding was lovely, not like some of the hurrendous reviews I’ve read about other accommodations in the area.Every morning between 8.30-9.30 am there was breakfast served, and what a cracking breakfast it was.There were a choice of cereals, yoghurts, fresh orange juice plus a Fully Cooked English Breakfast with a wide choice of cooked items ie bacon sausage eggs etc and great quality.Nothing was too much trouble for Sharon and her partner Doug (in kitchen).I can honestly say Sharon was the best host, great personality, lovely and friendly, which reflects on the highly rated reviews this B&B has, and well deserved too!So we’d just like to say thank you both, we will definitely be back again, and would highly recommend you to anyone visiting Blackpool.Our thank you card will be in the post for you to add to your collection on the wall!All the best, Lanleigh, Leon, Grace, Rubén from South Wales xxx

what a place, immaculately clean place as a whole not just the rooms the whole place. beds so comfortable rooms and bathrooms 10/10. my husband lived in bed & breakfastsfor 12 years whilst moving around for his work and claims this to be the best and he's hard to please when it's comes booking somewhere to go away. the breakfasts are ace. plenty to choose from. anyone looking for a guaranteed comfortable stay this is the place to go. we shall never look past the carlton again. and finally the owners are really decent people that genuinely want there customers to have a nice comfortable stay at there bed & breakfast. 10/10

A very clean hotel inside and outside. The room was clean and comfortable, albeit the shower cubical is a little small to manoeuvre, toilet a little difficult to flush.The owners are hospitalable.The breakfast is great and good value for money.Overall the hotel is good value for money. Lovely place to stay Doug and Sharon were very welcoming .Rooms were nice ,basic but clean Breakfast was lovely very filling and nothing was to muchtrouble .Car parking was cheap we did 3 days and it was I think£12 , and it’s literally 3-4mins walk from the hotel.All in all very good place and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again .Thanks Doug /Sharon

The rooms are clean and tidy. Lacking in bedside cabinet space, the only one has tea tray on. Could rethink, and add shelf space other side of the bed, get a smaller kettle so not so cramped

We stayed at the carlton for my step daughters 6th birthday Friday till Monday, I emailed the property upon booking to ask if they could decorate the room with some balloons and banners. They did not disappoint her face was a picture when she walked in the room to even have presents for her too. We got breakfast included with our booking, a wide range of choice from cereals, yoghurts, a hot breakfast menu, juices, tea and coffee plus more. The owners were fab especially Sharon (we seen her more) always smiling and happy exactly what you want from someone your staying with. Would definitely stay here again next time we take a trip. Comfortable clean room excellent comfortable bed. Very decent hotel. VFM for sure. An old building with character.What made this busy hotel special was the professional kind and beautiful owners Sharon and Douglas. We are checking out today from our 2 nights, I only wish it was longer. The hotel is a perfect location and the hotel across the road you can buy drinks/ cafe on corner. Minutes walk from shopping centre/ mcdonald/ coral island.On the day of arrival we got a text saying our room was ready which was welcoming. The owners are just that friendly and welcoming. The room is compact modern clean and comfortable. I loved the smell of the fabric softener on the soft towels. You get a door code so can come and go as you please. We have both had a much needed break and we hope to be back soon. Thank you for accommodating a late check out also.

We came here for a break we weren't expecting much due to the price BUT upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised at how lovely the B and B is and the two owners where so warm and welcoming we felt at ease straight away, we then got to our room we booked a small double and again we were surprised at just how much the room fitted our needs, en suite with a bath and shower over the bath, double bed, spacious corner wardrobe, tea and coffee with an added bonus of (lotus biscuits) ???? we can't recommend this B and B enough it is perfect and so close to all the entertainment literally 5 minute walk and the provided breakfast also is first class tasted amazing.

Brilliant wee hotel! It was clean, tidy and in a great location for the tower and the sea front only minutes walk to any of the attractions. The breakfast was lovely and Sharon and Doug were so lovely and friendly when we checked in. Would recommend highly to stay here one of the best hotel we have stayed in Blackpool.

Arrived at hotel on the Friday morning and was greeting by a lovely couple who take much pride in their business, it was very welcoming, it was like walking into our second home.the place itself is beautiful our room is absolutely stunning well laid out for us and the two boys, clean throughout, couldn’t ask for any better.Breakfast was lovely plenty of options for everyone, food was 10 out of 10.Would highly recommend staying here, had many trips to Blackpool but I will always try to book this from now on. Lovely hotel we have stayed in many hotels in Blackpool but this had the personal touch with Sharon and Doug, nothing to much trouble for them really felt they were more like friends hotel is spotless and COVID measures are in placethe only downside was we had to end our holiday but we will definitely be back soon xx

Clean, friendly! Close to everything. Beautiful rooms the beds are like sleeping on clouds. Breakfast in the morning was gorgeous loads to choose from. Stayed with children age 6 and 2. Definitely recommend best place we’ve stayed around Blackpool would 100% come back here.

I have stayed at the Carlton many times prior, normally with my son and his dance partner to watch them dance at the Wintergarden. As this hotel is a stones throw from there. This year there have been no dance competitions, so I thought I would keep the reservation and take my husband.the entrance had lots of sanitizer for your hands as you would expect because of Covid. The room was clean and aired and the linen was clean and fresh.Douglas & Sharon looked after us whilst we were there and we went out to the gin bar on the prom and had a meal at Wetherspoons which is well in walking distance. the next evening we went for a Chinese which was also very good. it was a thouroughly relaxing break and the Carlton was lovely as always

We stayed here one night on way down too Birmingham and it was lovely very clean warm comfortable and staff were really nice and pleasant the breakfast well I am a trucker for a living I know a good breakfast and believe me this was a lovely breakfast warm fresh and the works will definitely plan a week end back too Blackpool and will stay here

This place is amazing. Went above and beyond in everything they do. Warm and friendly welcome from the couple who own it. Very clean and there were hand sanitisers everywhere throughout the hotel. They even had banners, balloons and a little gift in our room for our daughter a birthday. She was so made up. Will definetly be booking again

Rooms were clean and comfortable, plenty of space for us and our two children. Breakfast was amazing quality with plenty of options to choose from. Really enjoyed our overnight stay. The kids actually had proper beds rather than pull out beds. Plenty of room. Decor nice and fluffy towels. Just could do with replacing the shower. It’s powerful enough but as the main Turner is broken you don’t know which was to turn it for hot, cold or off.

Had a lovely stay at the Carlton, Sharon & Doug were great hosts & had lots of information and were a great help, would stay again & recommend it to anyone.

Greeted by friendly owners, room clean and comfortable, nicely presented. Fan already on so cooler in room. Only problem we had was shower was to hot and nozzle missing to adjust the heat, owners came up and adjusted heat whilst we were out. Overhaul very good hotel and hosts. Breakfast excellent.

Staff were lovely. The bed was a small double which wasn't big enough for 2 adults and it was very hard, did not sleep well. Apart from that they provide a nice breakfast and the location is close to the tower and train station. Very clean.

Very clean, well decorated and inviting. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and happy to help. Ideal location, with free WiFi, carparking close by and close to all the main attractions. Beds were all comfortable. Children enjoyed their stay too.

Last minute booking through work commitments, arrived after advertised check in to a warm welcome. Key sanitised and in a sealed bag and plenty of sanitiser all over hotel. Due to my later arrival was told to have a long lie and not worry about getting up early which was lovely and offered breakfast. Room clean and cosy, very homely feel, small issue with shower leaking to downstairs room but these things happen, looked a matter of some silicone being replaced. Very well maintained hotel, clean, comfortable, well priced and lovely owners. Would use again with no hesitation.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in a double room. The hotel was spotless and the room was decorated to a high standard. Bed was really comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. Hotel is central, 1 min walk to coral island, 5 mins to Tower and shopping centre. The owners are lovely, made us feel so welcome. What can I say? From the beginning until the end we were made to feel welcome. The Carlton is well furnished and immaculate. The couple who run the Carlton are wonderful and made you feel welcome throughout. A very nice breakfast and the owners could not do enough for you.

Booked this based on reviews and was not disappointed. Just around the corner from the Winter Gardens where our daughter was in a dance competition, right next to the shopping centre and a few minutes from the seafront. 10 mins walk from the station. The owners were very welcoming and flexible about arrival time. The room was spotless and we loved the mugs for tea/coffee instead of the little cups you usually get in hotel rooms! Will definitely book again.

We had a fab stay, rooms were modern and clean, really warm at night too. Was quiet over night which was great, bed was a little hard but down to personal preference as as we like a softer mattress, never the less we slept well.Hosts were friendly and welcoming offering to help if we needed anything. We stay at Blackpool twice a year for dancing and have done for many years. This was our first stay at the Carlton but I would definitely use them again. It was the cleanest, friendly and generally best hotel we’ve stayed in. We had to young children with us who both had a great sleep which doesn’t normally happen. And the breakfast was great with a lovely friendly welcome every morning. Would recommend ????

We received a lovely warm welcome and felt "at home" straight away. Clean, comfortable and pleasant accommodation. 1st class. Perfectly situated for all amenities. Sharon and Doug are really nice friendly hosts and they serve up a really tasty, fulfilling breakfast. One thing that I thought was amazing was there were ironing facilities attached to the wall on every landing. A very thoughtful idea. I booked the Carlton after reading other reviews and wasn't disappointed. I hope my review will go on towards them gaining 9.2 status. They have achieved 9.1 in only 2 years. Very well done to you both, so deserved. We'll be back.

Booked this Hotel on the recommendation of a friend after stating I was looking for somewhere to go on a short break - to cut a long story short , we booked , we went , & omg we had an amazing time(Fri 25th Oct - Mon 28th Oct) weather turned out good but the Carlton turned out to be even better - Doug & Sharon were excellent hosts, the rooms were spotlessly clean & doug's breakfast's should never be passed over, nothing is too much trouble for these 2, their only interest is that you are comfortable & that you have an enjoyable stay at the Carlton. We have just arrived home from an amazing week in Blackpool and we can't thank Sharon and Doug enough, we had a lovely warm welcome and anything we needed they did there best to help. Breakfasts really good value for money and kept us full most of the day and to sit and enjoy it in a lovely atmosphere made our stay even better. We stayed in the family room which was bright fresh clean and comfortable we really can't fault anything and will look forward to visiting again next year. Me and my daughter stayed just for 1 night on a room only basis, we were welcomed with a smile and the hotel was very welcoming, the room was small but cosy, very clean and nicely decorated, the beds were comfy too! Was disappointed there wasn’t a car park but there was one 5 mins away which cost £10 for 24hrs which is ok for 1 night but would be pricey if you was there for a week. We both said we would defiantly stay again.

Stayed 2 nights at the Carlton ,we arrived before the 2pm check in time but the owner let us leave our bags there while we parked and walked around,the b&b is clean and tidy ,we did not choose the breakfast option as we don't eat breakfast,the room we booked had the bath option which the Mrs loved ,the only downside I found was the pillows were very hard ,but really enjoyed the stay

Ok hotel but wasn’t for a family it’s more for couples I was woken up at daft o’clock and couldn’t get back to sleep. No fault of the owners it’s situated in the centre a brilliant spot but I think it’s going to be picked by drinkers. My room had wallpaper hanging off as I entered but when I returned it had been put back on which was decent. The only thing I didn’t like of the owner was he wasn’t going to accept a debit card for my payment he really wanted cash. He said I don’t really do cards. So if you go take cash. I won’t be returning anyway.

The owners were very welcoming and lovely.Our room was a triple room and it was very spacious and beautifully decorated along with being very clean. The room had tea/coffee making facilities along with a hairdryer.The beds were very comfortable. The room had a table and chairs in too.The Breakfast was very plentiful and tasted gorgeous.It was also very well presented.There was a choice of cereals, fruit juices, chocolate spreads (which my grandson loved).Toast was served to you and then a full English Breakfast with your choice of Coffee or Tea.The location is close to the Tower and to tram stops and bus stops.The shopping centre is a five minute walk away.We had a great stay thank you.

Just spent a night with my grandsons at the carlton. Lovely place, very warm hosts, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and tastefully decorated room. A really lovely guesthouse, very warm & friendly. Sharon was really lovely very accommodating. Its situated right in the town centre right by all major attractions. Room was modern and clean with great facilities and owner was so friendly and approachable. Only downside was the amount of noise that could be heard from other rooms/guests

I am a very picky person when it comes to staying in places and wasn’t sure what to expect for £60 but The Carlton was spottless the couple who run it were very welcoming and great with my son. Stayed here for the weekend as daughter was participating in dance comp at Winter Gardens. Booked a family room which was very comfortable and decorated lovely. This was out Second visit here and will definitely book again. Sharon is a lovely hostess.

my family enjoyed another wonderful stay at the carlton hotel. as always it was like home form home. lovely people so helpful and friendly. super clean very high standards are kept by the kind lady of the house and amazing breakfast too. we were also allowed to check in early which was very helpful with our young children. will be staying again. its the best.

We stayed for one night with our 5 year old daughter.The place is ideally located and the hosts are very nice and welcoming.The place itself is very nicely decorated and very clean and modern.The family room was a very good size and I couldn’t fault the breakfast.We will definitely be going back!

Very good for price charged,clean bed/towels etc Good breakfast. Just a few little things like cold plates at breakfast/no choice of toast white/brown etc table laid with spoon for dessert and not to the side for cereal,no separate knife with side plate for toast,no black pepper on table ,apart from this all good would stay again.

Had a lovely stay. Sharon greeted us and was so friendly! The room was clean and really comfy.Loved the plaque on the wall that said ‘you were born to sparkle!” Would definitely stay here again 😄

Very central close to town center a very warm welcome from the owner on arrival and at breakfast room was small but clean breakfast was really nice.

Me, my other half and my 4 year old stayed at The Carlton for one night. We felt very welcome, the room was nicely decorated and breakfast was very nice (definately worth the money). It is in an amazing location, only 2 minutes walk to the Tower. Only real negative is that the bathroom was a little dated but for the price we paid it was more than adequate. Would recommend and definately stay again.

Myself and my daughter and grandson have just spent the weekend in Blackpool and stayed in this lovely place we were greeted with a very friendly welcoming and our room was lovely nice and clean comfy beds there is even a hair dryer in your room and there is iron and iron board on the landing. We will defiantly stay here again only next time we will book breakfast too. Thankyou s very much for a lovely stay.

Where do I begin? We turned up around 5pm on a Saturday evening to be greeted by both Sharon & Doug, who are the friendliest and most welcoming people we have ever met. The room we stayed in was clean, tidy and the beds were comfortable, ideal sized room for small family. Breakfast was lovely me and my other half both had full English (although there were more options) and Sharon offered us a choice of smaller breakfasts for our daughter. Quick service and clean dining room.Overall we had a lovely stay and were very impressed with the hotel. We will be booking again soon

I am a regular visitor to the Carlton. The location is perfect for The Winter Gardens and the tower,a matter of minutes walk away. Sharon and Doug are excellent friendly hosts. The room is always clean and comfortable and the full English breakfast with tea and toast is just right for myself. Just home from an overnight night room was very spacious and clean perfect for a few days away, only down side is parking

We stayed last year, Sharon and Douglas had only just bought the B & B, we thought our stay last year was good, this year, they have made lots of improvements. The rooms are lovely and the dining room is fantastic. What made our stay were Sharon and Douglas, they are lovely people and can't do enough for you. Would recommend this establishment without any hesitation. we hope to return next year.

To the owners of the carlton sharon&doug myself and my partner miss j lumsden had amazing time at Blackpool the bnb when we 1st checked in on Monday sharon greeted us with a smile then led us up the stairs to room 5 we looked about room we liked the size of the room it was clean and the breakfast in the morning was lovely the choices you could have couldnt of asked for more will certainly be booking the carlton in the future only being 5 minutes away from attractions which was ideal location we were very happy regards Mr Christopher Rosie & Miss J lumsden

Just the place to be, around the corner from the Winter Gardens, couldn't get much closer.My room was a double with en-suite bathroom, plenty big enough for one. Nicely decorated and comfy bed. Breakfasts were good but a shame the owners have dispensed with a bar, would have been nice to chill in the lounge. Would definitely stay again.

Hi the hotel was ok considering the price we paid.We was with our 2 year old daughter and was given a room right up on the fourth floor withno lift.When I said I don’t think climbing the stairs with a toddler and pram was correct, I was told I should have stated this when booking, I replied I did but they just laughed. As we were only staying over night it would have been a lot of messing about.Customers be aware!

We loved our stay at the hotel, everybody was very helpfull and nice. The breakfast was fantastic and i liked the romantic wallpaper.we would like lo come back somwtime.

The water jug was dirty ,no extra toilet tissue we had to buy ours ,no enough milk,stains on the bed sheet,,towels not changed until we left.the shower was very small could not enjoy it.Thank you.

Enjoyed my stay at Carlton Hotel cause its a convenient location to Wintergardens where we had all our meetings, dance congresses and championships. We've already booked for 2019Would recommend our friends to stay at Carlton.

I bed short but kids slept top to tail (booking .com fault not hotel) 2 bulbs out in bathroom so very dark in shower.shower temp.would not adjust (too hot for kids) fixed this myself (Temp.) Would have been 5* if not for this. Overall very good.

Lovely little hotel; might look a bit 'ordinary' from the outside but inside quite different. Quiet (no groups, hallelujah!)Spotlessly clean, comfortable room with enough space for 3 adults (which is unusual!) Nice, clean bathroom with enough space & very good shower. Breakfast excellent including the veggie option. Very friendly & welcoming hosts. Recommended!
